Settled. Full stop.
Omni (omni.contact) is a messenger where people quickly settle things, without the mess of a chat thread. Someone asks a question, the rest answer in one move, and the result is saved in the Ledger of settled matters, so nobody has to dig it out of the messages.
How Omni works
Conversations in projects
You write to your people as in any messenger: messages, reactions, attachments and voice recordings, organised into projects and topics.A question instead of a guess
You turn a message into a card with a question: yes or no, a choice of one option or approval of an amount, with a deadline for the answer.A vote in one move
Each person asked answers with a button: for, against or for with a condition. They can also pass their vote to someone else. A matter is settled when the rule chosen with the question is met, for example “silence means yes” or “everyone in favour”.The Ledger of settled matters
Every decision goes into the Ledger with “Settled.” and a full stop, so a week later it is clear what was decided.Guests without an account
You can send a card by link. A person without an account sees only that one card and votes by entering a name. You can also send a question by email to someone outside Omni.Mail in Omni
Once you have secured your account you can have your own address such as imie@omni.contact. Letters arrive in the “Mail” conversation, and you turn a letter into a matter with one button.
How to join
Omni is a closed beta. You join with a link from someone who already uses it, or with a start code: you enter a name and that is it, there is no account to set up. To return from another device you can secure your account with an email address or choose “Continue with Google”. Have an invitation? Open Omni.
Signing in with Google
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google passes Omni the email address of your Google account, your name and the address of your profile picture. We use them only to create your account or sign you in. We do not ask for access to Gmail, contacts, calendar or files. Details are in the Privacy policy.
